REVIEW OF WEB 2.0 & SOCIAL MED4DEV

The topic on Web2&Social Media 4 Development aka med4dev, interesting as it shades lights on pertinent issues connected to web tools usability and respective dangers posed by the system and its community of users.

The module have shown that although the web have provided forum for sharing of information at massive scales, there is need to ensure that the process of sharing is both risk free and beneficial to end users - the aim is optimize the range of networking activity and interactivity among people defined by cultural backgrounds, academic/professional, and age but to mention some.

It has been noted that community of people interacting online - individually or in groups, are a determining factor for incessant and enhanced information sharing, publicity, and marketing of products they bring to the cyber world. Nevertheless, threats from malpractices of different magnitudes - piracy, theft, fraud, plagiarism combine to pose formidable threats to producers and consumers of virtual products.

This brings us to the need of checking and validating quality of information posted out to the web for circulation, ensuring that whatever we take out is not harmful, and that the one posting information is as well protected.
